Have you read more than one post on my blog? Do you visit often, or is this your first time here? Please let me extend a special invitation to you. On October 14, 2011, beginning at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time, ABC Action News will air their annual primetime Emmy award winning special, TAKING ACTION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
My story will be featured. This opens a door of opportunity for you to go beyond reading about my personal experiences with domestic violence. You will be able to hear my voice speak, answering some tough questions, as well as see me revisit some of the places that played critical roles in my life. It is about as personal as I can get, coming into your home and sharing my story, from how the domestic violence began all the way to how I finally found the path to freedom.
If you are outside the viewing area, you will be able to watch the 1-hour commercial-free special via the internet link, listed below, starting at 9:01 p.m. on October 14.
It would mean the world to me, as a former victim now survivor, and a passionate advocate working to make a difference, if you will join me in watching the special, and even more that you will come back and post your comments.
Much thanks to ABC Action News for opening this door of opportunity. Perhaps we will all learn a bit more, and save a few lives in the process!
